If you want to get to the Pokémon League and take on the Elite Four in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you will need to the Hidden Machine for Waterfall. This is the last HM that you’ll receive in the game and it’s arguably the most important. It allows you to access Victory Road and take one of the final steps to defeat the Pokémon Champion.

Of course, knowing that you need Waterfall and knowing where to find it on the map are two completely different monsters. If you haven’t been able to find Waterfall and just want to be a step ahead, keep reading below to find out exactly where it is in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Getting Waterfall in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The only requirement to find Waterfall is to make it to Sunnyshore City. This is the final city in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and is home to Volkner, the eighth Gym Leader. You can get past the guard to enter the route before Sunnyshore after defeating Team Galactic.

Once in Sunnyshore City, you can keep heading north until you reach a sandbar with the ocean surrounding it. On the sand will be a brown-haired NPC, who goes by the name Jasmine. Veterans of the franchise will recognize the Johto Elite Four member instantly.

If you talk to Jasmine, she will give you the TM for Waterfall, which also unlocks it on your Pokétch HM screen. You can now teach Waterfall to any Pokémon capable of it. However, in order to use Waterfall outside of battle, you’ll need to defeat Volkner, who uses Electric-type Pokémon. Once that’s done, you can head north on the water and reach Victory Road.

That’s the entire process of finding the HM for Waterfall in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
