Character: Toro Inoue - MobyGames

Toro Inoue, a white cat who wants to become human, was Sony's Japanese PlayStation mascot for many years. He was introduced in the 1999 life simulation game Doko Demo Issyo as a PocketStation mascot and went on to appear in many other games. While the Doko Demo Issyo series focuses on life simulation and virtual pet elements, some of his other games branched out into other genres.

Since very few of his games were localized, Western players will primarily recognize Toro via his many cameo appearances. He guested in games as varied as Street Fighter X Tekken, Everybody's Golf, and Tokyo Jungle. His first game to be localized was 2008's Everybody's Putter Golf with Toro, which was exclusively released in Asia, and his first game to be released worldwide was 2019's Toro and Friends: Onsen Town.
