Les Bois Park to close its doors for good
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — The Les Bois Park is set to close its doors for good this Sunday, according to racing officials.
The decision comes after the establishment lost revenue from a law banning instant-horse racing machines. Treasure Valley Racing hoped to break-even in revenue with the racing machines in 2015, after losing nearly $1.5 million on the park in 2014. However, thanks to a bill that made the machines illegal, they never got close to that goal.
Paul J. Schneider, the chairman for the Idaho Racing Commission, told KBOI 2News the business will be ending operations Sunday, March 20.
More details will come in a new report. The story link will be up soon.
